"You fall out of love and stop loving people just like you fall in love and start loving them. There are bigger things in life than love and romance."
Ratna- a literature and journalism student who is deeply in love with her favourite author- Ronit Sukhdev, gets a chance to interview him for her assignment. Ronit lost his interest in writing and teaching after his breakup with Nitasha. The book surrounds these three characters, their perceptions of love and relationship and also the repercussions Ronit and Nitasha face because of their breakup.
How often do you come across books that take you by complete surprise after reading them? This book was a classic case of "Don't judge the book by its cover" for me. I thought this book was going to be a love story. But it was so much more than that. I was left with a bundle of questions about love after reading this book.
Ronit, Nitasha and Ratna are plagued by the ghosts of their pasts. It's interesting to see their views on how the world works around them. I especially loved the philosophical spin the author has added at times in the book. The three characters' stories were weaved quite intricately where it doesn't interrupt the flow of the story.
"Not everyone you find interesting needs to someone you need to get romantically involved with. Not every relationship is romantic in nature."
I liked the fact that the book was not too dragged out. It was just the right amount where I never felt bored or disconnected. The author has given so much life to the characters. They couldn't be any more different from each other at the same similar in some aspects. This was the first book I've read of the author. Needless to say, I've become a fan of his writing.
